Day 26 - Friday July 17, 2009: Happy B-day Ike!!

Up at 5 am to catch a ride to the High Speed Rail (HSR) with Jeff at 6am. On the HSP from 7:40-9:06. Our driver from Gaosheng to Kenting was quite possibly the worst driver ever! - I honestly thought it was his first time. Fortunatley I had taken a motion sickness pill, but that didn't prepare me for the 2+ hours in the middle seat. He drove us around for a few hours once in Kenting to see some park with a lighthouse, some big rock, and the southern most point of Taiwan. It was raining the entire time! There was a typhoon again! We just can't win. It was raining the rest of the day. We checked into our hotel and then CKE and I headed to McDonalds for a classy dinner. Some coffee and cake after that for dessert. Oh, we had lunch at some "cucina" of pizza and pesto.
