Day 12 - Friday July 3, 2009: Ello Lova!

Woke up at 7:45 and got ready fort a short day of one-on-ones. CKE and I went to breakfast with Mutta and Ivy - we had chicken sandwiches with eggs, lettuce, and some sauce: a chicken hamburger as they would call it. It was pretty tasty...CKE really liked it. I got about halfway through mine before spotting some mold on the bottom of the bun, I quickly said I was full and made eyes at CKE that he did not want to finish mine for me. During breakfast Ivy whispered something to Mutta and he said, "Ivy wants to know if you two are lovers?" CKE and I busted out laughing..."You don't really ask people that," we said, "but yes, we are dating."

After breakfast I had a one-on-one with Mina. She was nice and we talked about travel, food, and hobbies. At 12 we were all done teaching for the week and headed back to the apartment to pack for our weekend in Taipei. We met Alex and Luke on campus where they gave us ideas of things to see, helped us book and apartment, and gave us more money from our accounts. Then Luke brouhgt us to the train station and held our hands until we were on the right train. The tickets we NT$91 and the ride took a little over an hour.

After arriving at Taipei Main Station and surviving the cab ride to our hotel we settled our things and got ready to head out for the evening. Our hotel was pretty nice, but only had a single and a full sized bed...technically we were only supposed to have 2 people in there. We dropped our stuff and headed for Taipei 101, the worlds tallest building. Once we got there we ate dinner in the food court - spaghetti and corn soup for CKE and I. After looking around the stores a bit we headed up to the observation desk. Another interesting fact about Taipei 101 is that it also has the fastest elevator in the world; we went up 98 floors in around 30 seconds. The view from the top was incredible. We listened to the audio tour and went on the outdoor observation deck.

Afterward we went to "New York New York" which was just a big mall.  We found an awesome company called Human Touch, that sells like his and hers type products.  Then we went to our favorite restaurant McDonalds for a late meal before heading back to the hotel for some beers, TV and bed.

Seriously where are the bars in this country?
