Tjejmilen

I ran my first international road race this morning!!  The Tjejmilen 10k.  (literally translated to Girl Miles...according to google translate, my fav website!)  It was pretty crazy.  There were over 30,000 participants.  They stated in waves 10 minutes apart from 12 to 13:30 I think.  Of course like in every race you are supposed to choose which group you run in according to your pace.  and of course, like in every race, no one does that - The first 5k was so bumper to bumper my legs literally cramped from going so slow.  But still a good experience overall.

Below are a couple of pics from the day.  The first two are of my metro stop, just so you know where I go everyday, and the rest are from the race.

This is just the waive of runners I started with...imagine prob 10 groups like this

Swedish Cheesecake was the only odd item on the menu -not like the cheesecake I know, this was actually good!
