Day 15 – Monday July 6, 2009: Second week of Class

Went running with Danika 3.2 miles this morning – this place is stinking hot, we were exhausted.  Conversation class was fun today; I gave the students tongue twisters.

Then we had a horrible lunch of another Chicken Platoon, but this one had bones in it…it was as if they just cut the whole chicken (innards and all) into thin strips.  CKE and I both had about 3 bites and then had some of our leftover pizza and potato chips.  We are very healthy here.

I had a two-on-one with Lydia and Iris today and they took me to downtown Hukuo (the city where the school is).  I rode on the back of a scooter for the first time ever and squealed like a little girl – they later told me that was the slowest they have ever driven.  I had some more disgusting dessert soup and found out they call it “something pudding.” Ick.  Then they brought me to ‘89 degree coffee shop’ where I had an awesome iced latte and a piece of chocolate cake.  Mmm.

Later, Danika and I combined our singing classes again and the students surprisingly knew most of the words.  Came back to the apartment at 8, did some reading and went to sleep.  Exciting life.
